IONIC LODGE MEETING - NOVEMBER 14, 2014

The above three photos relate to W.B. Al White receiving his Lewis Jewel from M.W. Bro's Don Finan & Pat Hutchison.  Al's Dad was a Mason & was involved in raising Al to the Sublime Degree of a Master Mason.  Also shown in the photo is V.W. Bernie Meisner, Master of the Lodge; R.W. Bro. Len Prior,  DDGM for District 7, who was attending on lhis Official Visit.

M.W. Bro. Hutchison & V.W. Bro. Gibbons presented M.W. Bro. Finan with a pair of "Guinness" pajamas.  It seems that Don was complaining of being cold during his march with the Shrine at the North Battleford Remembrance Day Parade on Nov. 11th.  These should keep him warm.  By the way, Guinness is rumored to be one of his favorite beverages!

R.W. Bill Bryce delivering the Traveling Mall, from Britannia #23, Lloydminster.  Bill is a Member of both Britannia & Ionic.  The Traveling Mall is a beautiful instrument, that is to be moved to & from the various Lodges within the District to encourage Visitation.  It is now incumbent on the Members of Ionic to deliver it to another Lodge in the near Future.

IONIC LODGE #31 MEMORY BOX DINNER, NOVEMBER 1, 2014

Ionic Lodge held their first, annual Memory Box Dinner on November 1st.  It was very well attended, with Members & Guests enjoying a Great meal catered by "Second to None".  Special guests for the evening were, Darren MacDonald, from Saskatoon Lodge; Pamela Plumber and Mary Perry, both Nurses from the Birthing Unit of the Battlefords Union Hospital.  Darren spoke about his involvement of this program from the Saskatoon Lodge perspective, while Pamela spoke from the Birthing Units perspective.  R.W. Bro. Kevin Monsebroten gave to very interesting slide presentations on the subject.  This is a very worthwhile project that our Lodge is about to undertake. A date of November 7, 2015 has been set for the Second Memory Box Dinner.

Below are some photos taken during the evening.
